Calendar now available

Many thanks again to everyone who entered our calendar competition. The winners have been announced on our Facebook page, the pictures sent to the printers and the calendar is now available to order. Please go to the Facebook page and contact Anna Sampson if you want a copy.

Breed Appreciation Day

The Kennel Club requires all breed clubs to hold a Breed Appreciation Day every two years and we will be holding ours the day after the annual show in the same venue. The purpose of the day is to educate anyone interested in the breed, whether they are exhibitors, breeders or aspiring judges. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the breed or just refresh your knowledge.

For judges who have already passed the JFC entry level criteria (and only for these judges) there will be a KC-approved multiple choice exam and mentoring session after the talk.

Date: Sunday the 15th May 2022 at 11:00am (registration from 10:30 am).
Speaker: Gabriela Veiga - a highly experienced judge and acknowledged expert on the breed.
Venue: Yelvertoft Village Hall, Lilbourne Road, Yelvertoft, Northants, NN6 6LJ

Annual show

Sadly, the COVID-19 pandemic meant we were unable to celebrate our 10th anniversary show in 2021 ... but that just means we're going to do it bigger and better in 2022! Entry forms will be available closer to the date but for now, please make a diary note of these details:

Date: Saturday the 14th May 2022 at 11:00 am (doors open at 10:00 am).
Judge: Vitor Veiga (President of the Portuguese Podengo Club of Portugal).
Venue: Yelvertoft Village Hall, Lilbourne Road, Yelvertoft, Northants, NN6 6LJ

AGM

The Association held its Annual General Meeting in Diseworth on 26th June, 2021. This is an important date in our calendar as - amongst other things - it ratifies the previous year's accounts and confirms the Officers and Committee who will lead the Association going forward.

Because of COVID restrictions in 2020, the KC allowed all breed clubs to postpone their AGM's so this meeting was the AGM for both 2020 and 2021. The Officers presented their reports for each year, which were accepted, as were the accounts for the two years. The Association's auditor was appointed and elections for Officers and Committee were confirmed: see the NPPA > Officers... page for details of the current structure. A change to Association Rule 3b was agreed: see the NPPA> Rules... page.

Our thanks go to all those members who attended.
